Withdrawal sleeves serve the purpose of fitting bearings with a tapered bore onto the cylindrical seating of stepped shafts. These sleeves are inserted into the inner ring’s bore of the bearing, ensuring it makes contact with a fixed component such as a shaft shoulder. The positioning of the sleeve on the shaft is achieved using either a nut or an end plate. Appropriate locking devices, such as KM or HM lock nuts (which require a keyway), are recommended for this purpose. It’s important to note that lock nuts are not included with the sleeve and should be ordered separately.
